How Erotic Blueprints™ Can Illuminate Your Sexual Experience

The Quick Summary: Sex coach Stacie Ysidro believes that tapping into your sexual power is one of the most profound ways to transform your life. In her conversation with us, Stacie shares insights on sex coaching, the journey to self-empowered sexuality, and how Erotic Blueprints™ can help you better understand and experience pleasure.

Growing up, sex wasn’t something we openly discussed. It was almost like a forbidden topic, but not entirely. In the Bible Belt where I was raised, the message was clear—Sex is mostly bad, but sometimes okay if you’re married. And that was the extent of it.

Naturally, I had to figure a lot out for myself. I could go on forever about how vital comprehensive sex education is and how it can prevent risky sexual behavior, STIs, and teen pregnancies. Studies back up these benefits.

But beyond keeping people safe, comprehensive sex education also helps individuals reflect on their own sexual experiences. Without this kind of education, some of us are left without the words to understand or express our sexual needs.

Stacie Ysidro’s Perspective
Stacie opened up about the Erotic Blueprint™ created by JAIYA and her role as a sex coach. She explained that the first step to improving your relationship with sex is being able to talk about it. If you’re unsure how to start those conversations, don’t worry—it’s never too late to learn. The sooner you do, the better your relationships and personal life will become.

Stacie, a certified sex coach, is committed to helping individuals learn the language necessary to cultivate self-fulfilled and empowered sexual lives. In our conversation, she shared how Erotic Blueprints™ play a key role in helping clients explore their sexuality.

When you embrace your sexuality fully, it changes the way you connect with others, especially when forming relationships.

By understanding your Erotic Blueprint™, you’re not only enhancing the relationship you have with yourself, but also improving how you connect with partners, now or in the future.

Stacie shared her passion for her work, saying, “So many people need to hear that there’s nothing wrong with them sexually. We’re not broken. We’ve just either never been given the right information or we’ve been misinformed.”

Holistic Progressions: Empowering Individuals
Stacie’s practice, Holistic Progressions, has been in operation since 2010. She combines her personal and professional experiences to serve clients, especially those with alternative lifestyles, seeking guidance on sexuality.

Before becoming a sex coach, Stacie worked as a cosmetologist. “I realized what had a real impact on my life were all the coaching and mentoring I received throughout my career—not just learning how to cut hair,” she explained.

Her work in cosmetology offered numerous professional development opportunities, one of which led her to business and life coaching. This prompted her to pursue a certification in coaching, which included finding a specialization.

“I went through training that helped me identify that the major themes in my life were spirituality and sexuality,” Stacie said. “I noticed how uncomfortable people were with those topics, but I felt at ease discussing them.”

After leaving her salon, Stacie furthered her education in sex coaching, earning recognition as a certified sex coach from the World Association of Sex Coaches. She also became a Certified Erotic Blueprint™ Lead Coach.

The Erotic Blueprint™: A Personal Journey
Stacie emphasized that when it comes to sex, there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. This is where Erotic Blueprints™ come in. Developed by sex expert JAIYA, the Erotic Blueprint™ offers insight into different types of sexual expression. Stacie trained under JAIYA, who certified her in the Erotic Blueprint™ method, a tool she uses to help her clients explore their sexual identities.

Stacie shared, “I’ve been following JAIYA’s work from the beginning of my own journey. I was part of the first group to become certified in Erotic Blueprint coaching.”

The Five Erotic Blueprint Types
The Erotic Blueprint™ is a framework that divides sexual experiences into five distinct types:

  • Energetic: Focused on deep emotional, physical, and spiritual connection
  • Sensual: Centers on sensory pleasure and full-body awareness
  • Sexual: Driven by passion, fun, and playfulness
  • Kinky: Involves heat, taboo, and creative expression
  • Shapeshifter: A blend of all types, adaptable and dynamic

Stacie believes that we’re all Shapeshifters. “We’re all a mix of these types, and they can shift over time,” she explained. “What we like changes, and we might grow or evolve in our desires.”

Stages and Obstacles in Sexuality
A key concept in the Erotic Blueprint™ is that sexuality evolves in different phases throughout life. Stacie explained that as we grow older, our desires and needs change, and this fluidity should be acknowledged. Obstacles—whether physical, emotional, or psychological—can interfere with our ability to experience pleasure. But by exploring your Erotic Blueprint™, you can learn to navigate and overcome these challenges.

Stacie described, “Obstacles can be anything that prevents us from accessing pleasure, like physical health issues or emotional baggage. The Blueprint helps us work through these blocks.”

The Erotic Blueprint™ provides the language and tools necessary to identify and address the stages and obstacles in your sexuality, helping you better understand your desires.

Sex Coaching vs. Therapy
Stacie clarified the differences between sex coaching and therapy. She explained that sex therapy is medically oriented and focuses on the past to heal the present. In contrast, sex coaching is future-oriented and encourages a non-medical, non-pathologizing approach to sexuality.

“Therapy is about helping people heal by working through their past,” Stacie said. “Coaching, on the other hand, is about guiding people to the future, using what we already know to create growth without medicalizing or labeling issues.”

Sex Coaching as a Transformative Tool
Sex coaching isn’t just about teaching tools for better sex; it’s also about giving people the language to openly express their sexual needs and experiences. Stacie chose to focus on the Erotic Blueprint™ because it’s a fantastic resource for teaching and fostering open discussions.

“We need to start conversations about sexuality. The Erotic Blueprint™ helps people engage with their desires and communicate more openly,” she said.

Stacie believes that sexual health is just as crucial as physical or emotional health. Neglecting it can impact every aspect of your life. Nurturing your sexuality, especially in relationships, is essential—and it’s never too late to begin this journey.

“The quality of our lives hinges on the quality of our relationships, which in turn is determined by how we handle conflict,” Stacie said. “What we choose to do with the situations we face determines the quality of our life experiences.”
